Prosthodontist
Dr Kevin Gilmore is an experienced prosthodontist and restorative dentist. For the past 25 years, much of his work has involved planning and treating complex cases requiring several disciplines of dentistry. He has particular experience in the treatment of tooth wear and the use of dental implants.
Kevin completed specialist postgraduate training in prosthodontics and restorative dentistry. Following an MSc in Newcastle, he was the first dentist to graduate from Trinity College’s postgraduate training programme in prosthodontics. He also played a key role in designing and setting up the course.
Kevin served as president of the Irish Prosthodontic Society in 2011–2012 and as a committee member of the Irish Dental Association. He teaches part-time at Dublin Dental Hospital, Trinity College, and lectures nationally and internationally on prosthodontics and restorative dentistry. He has also represented Ireland on 3i’s international Implant Programme.
Kevin volunteers with Operation Smile and has taken part in missions to India and Morocco. In his practice, he takes time to discuss the available treatment options, explain what each involves and help patients decide on a plan that suits their needs and circumstances.
